Jerry Hinn, DVM

Dr. Hinn is a native Virginian. In addition to the care of cats and dogs, Dr. Hinn also enjoys caring for birds and exotic pets.  Dr. Hinn is a member of numerous local and national veterinary associations, as well as the Critical Care Society, American Veterinary Dental Association, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. Dr. Hinn and his wife Georgia reside in Alexandria.

Karen Davis, DVM

Dr. Davis is originally from the Washington D.C./Maryland suburbs. Her special interests include surgery and anesthesia. Dr. Davis lives in the Mount Vernon area with her husband, Rick. They have two children, Lauren and Cole, two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and one cat. Her other interests include gardening, golf and running. A lifelong musician, she also plays clarinet in the Fairfax Wind Symphony.

Meredith Barker, DVM

Dr. Barker was raised in Northern Virginia, although she spent some time living in the United Kingdom during her teenage years. She is a member of the AVMA, DC Academy as well as the veterinary honor society, Phi Zeta. Her interests include dentistry, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She resides in Alexandria with her husband, their children, and their dogs. In her free time, Dr. Barker enjoys horseback riding, traveling and watching Hokie football.

Lisa Kingsley, DVM

Dr. Kingsley joined our team in June 2016.  She was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia and graduated from The University of Mary Washington in 2004.  She spent many years living abroad in Australia where she studied conservation of endangered wildlife.  Dr. Kingsley currently lives with her family and two dogs, Kodi and Timber, in Purcellville, VA.  Her interests include soft tissue surgery, neurology and integrative medicine. Outside of work she enjoys stand-up paddleboarding, camping, hiking, and traveling.

Julie Pearson, DVM

Dr. Pearson joined our team in August 2015. She was born and raised in France, and graduated from the National Veterinary School of Lyon in 2005. She is a military spouse, and over the last 10 years, she has worked in Las Vegas, NV; Osan, South Korea; Stafford, VA; San Angelo, TX; and Alexandria, VA. Dr. Pearson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). In her free time, Dr. Pearson spends time with her husband and daughter, as well as their 2 cats. She enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and yoga.

Lindsay Taylor, DVM

Dr. Taylor is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. After graduating from veterinary school at Virginia Tech, she did a small animal rotating internship in Seattle, WA. She then worked in a general practice in Seattle for a year and a half before returning to the East Coast to be closer to friends and family. Her special interests include wellness care, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work she enjoys running, reading, knitting, and playing games with friends. She currently resides in Springfield with her husband Erik and their daughter.

Alyssa Cary, LVT

Alyssa is originally from Richmond, VA. After earning a B.S. in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech with minors in biology, forestry, and recreation, she and her husband settled down in Maryland. Alyssa has a number of interests but she is primarily focused on pain management, client education, and providing Fear Free visits for our patients.Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys running, hiking, reading, and relaxing at home with her family. They have two tortie cats and a lovable mutt.

Jessica Del Toro, LVT

Jessica grew up in Northern Virginia, and after a brief stint in Chicago after undergrad, has returned to the area. Her interests are in radiology, exotic pet care, and animal behavior. When not working, she enjoys going to concerts, movies, or going on long walks with her dogs. She lives in Alexandria with her husband, Chris; her two dogs, Kota the Rat Terror terrier mix and Leeloo the pug; and her corn snake, Korben.

Jaide Colby 

Jaide joined our Fort Hunt family in July 2016. She's originally from Washington state and moved here with her boyfriend for better job opportunities. Jaide went to school in WA for veterinary assisting and became a certified assistant. She plans to further her education into becoming a LVT. Jaide really enjoys taking pictures of her 3 cats Timon, James, and Tucker. She loves animal care.

Courtney Corbitt

Courtney joined the Fort hunt team in late 2016 after graduating from college. She was born and raised in MD but is happy to make the trip to FHAH everyday in order to help take care of your pets. While Courtney does not currently have any pets, she has had a dog and guinea pigs in the past. In the future, Courtney looks forward to pursuing a career in either veterinary medicine or wildlife conservation.

Roxan DeLeo

Roxan has been a valuable member of the FHAH team since 1990. She currently lives in Alexandria with many pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds. Pictured at right is Sinbad, her beloved dog.

Megan O'Dell

Megan joined the Fort Hunt Family in 2014 and is currently a student at Northern Virginia Community College. She is focusing on science so that she may pursue a career in medicine. Megan loves animal care and hopes to one day become an animal physical therapist.

Liz Williams 

Born and raised in Springfield, Liz joined our team in May 2010. She graduated from JMU in December 2013 and came back to Fort Hunt as a full-time assistant. She is currently in the NOVA LVT Online program and will graduate in May 2018. She has a hound named Dierks.
